Fobia Industries (FI) is the owner and operator of the website (Website). FI supports the protection of customer’s privacy rights as a fundamental element of our business. 

Please know that any information you reveal in a Website public forum (such as a message board, online meetings, posting, chat room/event, or similar electronic public venues) is not protected by this Privacy Policy. Such postings will be seen by Website members and/or guests and third parties not related to FI. What you write could be used by others in ways we are unable to control or predict, including to contact you for unauthorised purposes. This Privacy Policy will answer your questions about the kind of information we collect and how we use it. What Information do we collect?

Personal Information

Personal Information is information or an opinion, true or false about an individual whose identity is apparent or can be reasonably ascertained from the information or opinion (Personal Information).  

You are free to visit and use our Website without providing any Personal Information. However services are offered on our Website that require registration and/or submission of Personal Information. In order to register or otherwise take advantage of the products and personalised services that we offer on our Website, you will have to provide Personal Information.

In the course of doing business, FI may collect Personal Information about its customers which will include information such as: names, addresses, telephone numbers, credit card information and e-mail addresses. Personal Information may also extend to a customer's resume including references, work history and interests and any other material a customer chooses to provide as part of a resume. Any Personal Information may be used by FI:

  • when you wish to participate in one of our interactive forums;

We will not collect from you any sensitive information revealing your race, ethnic origin, political opinions, religious or philosophical beliefs, trade union memberships or details of health or disability. Exceptions to this include:

Registration and Use of Information

Registration and Membership Profile

In order to obtain access to certain services you must submit the following information: your name, a selected username and password, email address, mailing address, area or zip code and credit card information.

We use the Personal Information you provide through registration to provide services regarding immigration to and securing work in Australia and internationally; conduct billing and account activity; and respond to any questions that you submit. From time to time we might need to update you about your account, contact you regarding a billing question, notify you about changes to our services, or otherwise send you service-related announcements. For example, if a service to which you have subscribed is temporarily suspended for maintenance, we might send you an email to notify you of the service suspension. Or, we may need to contact you with respect to a billing matter. You will not be able to unsubscribe from these transactional emails. In those circumstances, we will use your Personal Information to contact you. By registering for our services, you consent to FI contacting you about your account. Based upon the Personal Information you provide us, we will send you a welcoming email to verify your username and password.

If you do you not wish FI to contact you regarding your account, please do not register on our Website. You are of course free to unsubscribe to any other emails that you receive from us.


Web Logging
 The Website records standard information such as time, date and URL of request (the web page you arrived from) via our web servers. This information is recorded by all web servers and is used to improve the functionality, structure and performance of websites.

We use cookies on our Website to determine and track the pattern and number of visitor usages across the site and to personalise your online experience, identify returning visitors, and to provide you with advertisements and messages of interest to you. A cookie is a small data packet given to your web browser by our web servers, the browser stores the message in a text file in your computer. Emails & Newsletters

You may register to receive email subscriptions and newsletters from FI and opting in to receive the subscriptions or newsletters. To receive emails and newsletters from FI you must provide your email address.


Editorial/Interview Requests

An employee of FI may contact members via email, telephone or postal mail for potential interviews and feature stories. Testimonials and Success Stories are effective tools in communicating the impact of programs available from FI. Participation in editorial or interview requests is strictly voluntary and you are free to refuse to participate. If you do choose to participate, however, you should be aware that we may use your name, likeness, statements, quotes, and other Personal Information.

Log Files

As is true of most websites, we gather certain information automatically and store it in log files. In addition to the third party websites that you may access as described above, for your convenience there are links to websites operated by companies other than FI ("Third Party Websites") that are not contractors who provide content or services through our Website. These links may be found in advertisements, referenced within content, or placed beside the names or logos of sponsors. FI does not disclose your Personal Information to these Third Party Websites without obtaining your consent. In addition, FI does not endorse and is not responsible for the privacy practices of these websites. Security of your information online

Data transmission over the Internet cannot be guaranteed to be 100% secure. While we will strive to protect your personal information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access, we cannot guarantee the security of any information you transmit to us or receive from our online products and services. These activities are conducted at your own risk.

However, FI does provide a secure server for selected services. These services use Secure Sockets Layer technology (SSL), which is the industry standard for encryption technology. Changing Information

If you wish to change your personal information, which is inaccurate or out-of-date, you must notify us by sending a letter or fax signed by you; and the record will be changed. Your notification should be marked to the attention of our Privacy Officer.
